St. Afra's Church stands on a slight rise in the center of Neckargerach and is recognizable from afar by its striking, light-colored tower. The building appears simple, yet inviting.

A great bike path between the villages. It's a great ride and a visual treat.

Coming from Katzenbuckel, the route is initially car-free for several kilometers. Scenically attractive, and despite some damage to the surface, it's still suitable for road bikes, even downhill.

The Neckarzimmern Lock is a significant facility on the Neckar River in Baden-Württemberg. It was completed in 1935 as part of the canalization of the Neckar River 1 2. The weir bridge spanning the lock is part of the Neckar Valley Cycle Path and is used by both cyclists and pedestrians.

Its top floor houses the bell tower, in which five church bells hang, behind the sound arcades designed as biforia. The dials of the tower clock are housed in the gables above. An eight-sided pointed helmet rises above it. In 1968/70 the church was extended according to a design by Manfred Schmitt-Fiebig. The church furnishings include a late baroque high altar designed by Lorenzo Quaglio, which comes from the destroyed Capuchin Church in Mannheim.
