Le Petit Turluron is a hill which dominates the medieval town of Billom and the path which leads there passes through gorges dug by the Madet river, volcanic hills and panoramic views of the Chaîne des Puys and the Massif du Sancy. You will also notice the Petit Turluron chapel which sits proudly at the summit and which offers a 360° view of the surrounding landscape.

The Château du Grand Turluron is a medieval castle which stands on one of the two volcanic hills which dominate the town of Billom. The castle dates from the 11th century and was once part of the four counties of Auvergne. Today it is in ruins, but you can still admire its architecture and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area from the top.

The small town of Chauriat has a rich and diverse heritage. The village retains traces of its Cluniac heritage as well as its medieval past marked by the remains of the village fort.

Billom is a medieval village in the Auvergne region. It is located in the Limagne plain. It is on the old Roman road from Lyon to Bordeaux.
