This arched bridge spanning the Sioule River at Ébreuil is made up of five arches. It was first built in the 19th century, before being rebuilt after a flood swept it away.

This beautiful castle is privately owned and cannot be visited. Its defensive aspect is explained by its geographical location. It is situated on a terrace overlooking the left bank of the Sioule River. It was therefore highly strategic. The castle's origins date back to the 11th century. It was only around the 13th century that the lords of the time understood the importance of the site for defending the southern border of their domain towards Auvergne.

Magnificent region. The banks of the Sioule as a walk to the bridge of Menat, also the castle of Veauce and the forest of Colettes. Made during the federal week of St POurcain sur Sioule, for me often starting from St Eloi les mines.

The Neuvial viaduct is a work of art built in 1869 by Eiffel on the Commentry - Gannat railway line to cross a valley between the municipalities of Mazerier and Bègues, in the Allier. It is registered as a historical monument.
