Place du Général de Gaulle is the market square in Isigny. Exhibitors offer you fresh produce and quality catering every Wednesday and Saturday morning.

This large and beautiful Norman church, dedicated to Saint-Georges, dates from several eras. The choir was restored in the 14th century. The bell tower dates from the 16 centuries. The nave, the oldest part of the church, dates from the 13th century. The town of Isigny-sur-Mer having been heavily affected by the bombings of 1944, the Saint-Georges church was a collateral victim. After the war, it was completely restored.

This 17th century castle has the particularity of being decorated with large paths and groves. It is a place steeped in history, because it is precisely in these gardens and in front of this town hall that General de Gaulle gave the famous speech of June 14, 1944. He was deeply touched by the welcome he received and will return a few weeks later to thank its inhabitants.

This bridge over the Aure offers beautiful views of Isigny-sur-Mer. If you have good light and are an avid photographer, be happy, because the spot is photogenic.

Canchy Castle is perched on the edge of the Contentin and Bessin marshes. The two remaining wings of this ancient fortress open onto a landscaped garden which extends over the fields. Enjoy the historic charm and natural beauty as you stroll through this unique setting!
