The route is good but dangerous if it rains.

The canal flows south to north. Great cycle path alongside which is suitable for racing bikes as well as touring. Most comfortable at about 50-70 psi with a gravel bike although it’s 99% tarmac. Great for hiking of course but look out for cyclists

This washhouse is a heavenly break for hikers! How good it is to take off your walking shoes and wet your feet!

A small village located on the Burgundy canal. There is a Brise du Port restaurant which could be nice for a little snack.

The site is beautiful and well documented. A beautiful shelter built for the excavation teams allows you to take a break in the shelter if the weather is acting up 😉
