橋はジュラ県とアン県という2つの県を隔てています。 「鉄の橋。数世紀にわたり、アン川はトワレットで渡し船（バク・ド・クリストゥフと呼ばれた）で渡られていました。この渡し船は、乗客が住んでいたコミューンの名前です。1808年から1811年にかけて、川沿いのコミューンは共同でこの渡し船の代わりに橋を建設しました。計画は、当時シンプロン道路工事の責任者であったオルジェレ出身のエンジニア、M.
