Great for warming up your legs before the Urcy climb

A very pleasant climb through the woods, and very accessible to beginners (3% average gradient). It can sometimes be foggy, so bring lights to ensure you are clearly visible to vehicles.

A great route out of Dijon (from the city center). The canal runs right past the center of Dijon. The route then continues past Pont de Pany into the Ouche Valley.

Beautiful road, not very busy

The Château de Mâlain is the seat of a lordship attested from the 11th century and among the most important in the region. The families who occupied it successively from the beginning to the Revolution – the Sombernon, the Montagu, the Beaufremont, the Mâlain, the Brulard, the Vichy – played an important role on several occasions in Burgundy and even at the court of the king.
