The green belt follows the banks of the Dolo, along which you will discover the impressive Bressuire castle, the charming chapel of Saint-Cyprien, the artistic sculptors' orchard, the old Roman camp, the peaceful Bellefeuille pond and the mills histories of Roux and Javart.

The last La Rochejaquelein owner of this castle died in 1897, he left the estate which bore his name to one of his nieces, Marguerite d'Arlot de Saint-Sand, born Rochechouart. The Château de la Rochejaquelein is currently the property of his descendants.

The ruins of Bressuire Castle, which dates back to the 9th century and is open to the public. Just beyond the bridge, there is a beautiful greenway and very large lawns that are the perfect place for a picnic at the foot of the castle.

Established on a small hill bordered by a pond, the magnificent Domaine de la Roche dates from the end of the 19th century. Now owned by the city, it houses a group accommodation centre.

This estate was bought by François de la Rochejaquelein in the 16th century, who transformed it into a Renaissance manor house. Located at the end of a charming little road lined with oak trees, it appears to be private property: I entered out of curiosity, without knowing it...
