Dieppe is a charming port town with a rich maritime past. Enjoy a stroll through its centre to visit the castle (which contains the town museum), the church of Saint Rémy and the seafront.

Also called the Virtues Cemetery, this place pays tribute to the Canadian soldiers who fell during the Second World War. The graves there are mainly those of soldiers killed during Operation Jubilee, which took place on August 19, 1942.

Pourville Beach offers a breathtaking view of the white cliffs of the Côte d'Albâtre and the mouth of the Scie. You can run along the 700 meter long pebble beach. Pourville Beach is famous for having been painted by Claude Monet in 1882. You can admire the beauty of this landscape which inspired the Impressionist master.

This red phone booth is a unique and charming place to visit. It is located near the town hall and has been transformed into a book exchange by a group of young volunteers. You can flip through the books, pick up the one you're interested in and leave the one you've finished reading. It's a good way to share your passion for literature with other hikers and locals. You can also enjoy the view of the Château d'Arques-la-Bataille, a medieval fortress which dominates the town and the Arques valley. The castle was the scene of several historic battles, including the famous Battle of Arques in 1589, in which Henry IV defeated the Catholic League.

Pourville-sur-Mer has risen from the ruins caused by an allied amphibious assault on August 19, 1942. The Canadian regiment of the "South Saskatchewan" and the "Cameron highlanders" - who landed to the sound of bagpipes - brought inflict heavy damage on the enemy. They were able to reembark thanks to the dedication of the Marines and the sacrifice of their rear.
