Orleans is a very pleasant city. Also pleasant is the Café le Centr'Hall directly behind the market hall, as well as the surrounding alleys and other squares. We were only here for two days, but you could easily spend a week in Orleans without getting bored. There's so much to discover. It was wonderful to be in Orleans, and certainly not the last time.

The city of Orléans is truly on a human scale, which makes it more practical to visit. The Loire is soothing. The city also has a historical and artistic past that it knows how to highlight. Finally, it is one of the cities that decorates some of its streets with murals.

Rue Royale was built in the 18th century. It took 20 years and a large workforce to destroy 133 houses and build new facades. The bombings of the Second World War destroyed the entire western part of the street but the old Chancellery, which in the 18th century housed the archives of the Duchy of Orléans, survived.

As the former capital of the Kingdom of France, Orléans recalls great chapters in the country's history. Clovis or Joan of Arc belong to the illustrious characters who marked the city. As a large metropolis, you find all the necessary amenities to satisfy your adventure. Every day, trains leave the city center station (not to be confused with the more remote Aubrais station) in the direction of Paris.
