A magnificent castle, with stunning gardens and a superb view of the Loire and its valley. Works of art are also displayed in the castle grounds, in addition to the gardens.

The beautiful Mosnes washhouse has an oval-shaped basin. It is fed by a spring. At the bottom, there is a low-water gauge to check the flood level of the nearby Loire River.

The little port is very pleasant. I recommend a visit to the castle for its magnificent garden.

But you have to know that he spent the last years of his life in the neighboring castle of Le Clos Lucé at the invitation of the French king and died there on May 2, 1519. Even though boats nowadays have outboard motors, they are beautiful to look at.
