A beautiful section of the Customs Path (GR 34) along the steep coast with views of the Bay of Douarnenez.

The view of Sables Blancs Beach offers a breathtaking panorama of clear turquoise waters, fine powdery white sand and the spectacular houses that climb the cliffs on the other side of Isis Wood. It is known for its calm, shallow waters and is ideal for swimming, sunbathing or a peaceful stroll along the shore.

Marina is a charming place where pleasure boats, sailboats and yachts find refuge. These ports offer modern facilities and picturesque landscapes.

The big bridge, the Tréboul bridge... In its younger years, it was even called the viaduct. Strangely, no one thought of giving a name to this bridge which connected Tréboul to Douarnenez and allowed the sardine activity to move up a gear.

Emerging from the waters and from legend, Douarnenez was born from the town of Ys, city of King Gradlon, swallowed up in the bay by the ruse of Dahut. It is also a very real trading port from which the region's paintings were exported around the 16th century. Its greatest wealth came from fishing when Douarnenez became a mecca for sardines in the 19th century. From these epics remain old houses, churches in Pouldavid and, above the Port du Rosmeur, workshops and small fishermen's houses. Yesterday punctuated by the activity of trawlers and canneries, the quays with their colorful facades are today punctuated by cafes and restaurant terraces.
