To get there from Gilette, do not use Google Maps, which sends you on a track

If you leave from the Var valley, approximately 450m of elevation gain await you to reach Gilette, on a road in good condition but busy. The view at the top is very beautiful over the valley but also over the Château de Gilette and the surrounding mountains. The village may be a crossing point to reach the villages of the Estéron valley, or even for an ascent of Mont Vial, much higher.

Very nice view of the Plaine du Var / Nice and 360° around.

Culminating at 1550 meters, Mont Vial is one of the few peaks that can be identified from the sea. From the top, enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the neighboring peaks!

This pass of 1,099 meters in altitude, of medium difficulty, will offer you beautiful views.

The Col de Ferres extends over 14.2 kilometers with an average slope of around 4%. There are steeper sections with gradients of 6-8% and the climb takes you to the altitude of 596 meters. The view of the valley is breathtaking!

The Col de Vé Gautier is 26.6 km long with a total drop of 1019 m. The average gradient of the climb is 3.7% with steep sections of 8%.
