Located in the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park, at the confluence of the Bienne and the Tacon, in a beautiful mountain setting, the town of Saint-Claude is famous for its crafts and especially for its briarwood tobacco pipe production. The Museum of the Pipe and the Diamond exhibits tobacco pipes, diamonds and precious stones.

The Saint-Nithier church in Clairvaux-les-Lacs is a Romanesque style church with a double-decker dome bell tower dedicated to Saint Nithier.
