beautiful pass, quite rolling especially through St Germain de Joux, a little tougher on the Saint Claude side. lots of writing on the ground since the Tour de France passed through.

Just cracked the 1000m above sea level. The first of several passes on my stage today with 2,500m of elevation. Pedal up slowly and enjoy the peace and quiet. There are very few cars here

This portion takes a magnificent path in the middle of meadows before entering a forest track surrounded by fir trees.

Lake Lamoura is the highest in the Jura. Located at the foot of the Massacre forest, in a preserved natural setting, the lake offers exceptional flora. Peat bogs, aquatic moss, meadows, in short, it's magnificent! Games for children and a picnic area have been set up at the edge of the lake and swimming is permitted there.
