Built on a feudal mound, these ruins are those of the castle founded in 1097. It was one of the ducal castles controlling the Epte River, which then marked the border between Normandy and the Kingdom of France. Given its location, which makes it visible for miles around and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area, the strategic importance of this position is easily understood. It is currently undergoing major restoration work supported by the Heritage Foundation with the aim of one day making the site accessible to the general public. The road runs around the ramparts.

Châteauneuf-sur-Epte is an ancient castle on motte which was founded in 1097 by the Duke of Normandy and whose remains stand in the French commune of Château-sur-Epte in the Eure department, in the Normandy region. It was one of the ducal castles controlling Epte, the border with the Kingdom of France. Under Henry II of England, the castle was considerably fortified.

This remarkable megalithic monument located in the woods of La Garenne is an ancient burial dating from the Neolithic period and made up of a long corridor of stone slabs covered with three large blocks. One of the most striking features of this monument is the carved stone that separates the main chamber from the vestibule, which has a circular hole surrounded by a groove. You can admire the know-how and the symbolism of this stone.

You can visit this Renaissance-style castle near Giverny, the famous village of painter Claude Monet. It was built in the 16th century by the architect Jean Grappin, on the foundations of a medieval fortress. The castle has a remarkable facade with brick and stone decorations, a slate roof and a large water wheel. The castle is also surrounded by beautiful gardens inspired by Italian terraces, with fountains, statues and flowers. The castle is classified as a historic monument and has been awarded the Remarkable Garden label by the Ministry of Culture.

You can discover a megalithic monument from the Neolithic period which consists of a long corridor of limestone slabs that forms a stone tomb. The corridor is divided into two parts: the bedroom and the antechamber. The entrance is located at the west-northwest end of the corridor.
