The "path" that Komoot says leads to the viewpoint from the north is a very narrow and steep path. I aborted the climb (or I didn't find the right path...). The routes from the south-west and south-east, on the other hand, are much better. While I was at the lookout, several joggers and a cyclist also came across the trails. The southwestern route is not a detour as an alternative to the northern variant.

The Ungersberg culminates at 901 meters above sea level. At the top, the Club Vosgien has erected the Héring tower which offers a panoramic view of the plain of Alsace and the surrounding peaks.

Via Grendelbruch a wonderful and low-traffic ascent with the Renner at a moderate incline.

Beautiful all-round view. Tower is made of steel, floor on the tower is made of wooden floorboards. Note: The ladder is not fall-proof and a bit "wobbly". Sure-footedness and a head for heights is an advantage.
