The castle of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, also called "Château Vieux" as opposed to "Château Neuf", is a former residence of the kings of France. It was the place where many peace treaties and royal edicts were signed. Located in the center of Saint-Germain-en-Laye in the Yvelines, it is now dedicated to the National Archeology Museum. A pretty park and a castle containing beautiful archaeological pieces

Built between 1696 and 1698, the watering place of Marly is one of the most beautiful water features in the park of the castle. It is the work of Mansart, commissioned by Louis XV. The pieces incorporate shells from the Antilles. Despite its name, do not try to hydrate yourself with the water of the drinking trough, of course! Save your adventurous side for the race.
