The well-preserved bell or clock tower is an eye-catcher in the town and was built in the 14th and 18th centuries; it is considered a historical monument.

Very beautiful, well-kept small town - a trip on the "Petit train à vapeur" to St-Jean-du-Gard is particularly recommended; you have many bridges and again and again fantastic views

Attention! The stretch between Le Tavernes and Vézénobres is absolutely not suitable for touring bikes! Steep sections with large stones or slopes with fine gravel, almost invisible overgrown paths, over an old railway bridge with "no access". We did it with a touring bike🫣
