The Petit Minou lighthouse is a 26-metre-high lighthouse that indicates the way to Brest by entering the harbour. Like the other towers along the coast, it enhances the already magnificent landscape of the Breton coast.

Beautiful view over the sea

Portez beach is a beautiful beach of fine sand, largely sheltered from the winds to delight the greatest number of boaters. The beach is supervised during the high season and has an access ramp for people with reduced mobility.

This military construction started by Vauban at the end of the 17th century was intended to defend the narrows which leads to the harbor of Brest. Fort du Dellec remains today one of the most spectacular viewpoints over the narrows and a most pleasant place for walks.

Backed by the Vauban military fort of the same name and located in line with the Portzic lighthouse, more anchored in the harbor, this 26 meter high lighthouse, which reaches 34 meters above high sea level, stands on a gigantic rock advanced in the waves. Like the neighboring fort, its primary role was to secure the entrance to Brest harbor. The emblematic Brest lighthouse opens its doors in the summer: in July and August, this lighthouse which watches over the entrance to Brest Harbor is open to the public.
