Really nice to look at

There are so many vintage cars rusting away here. Mainly Citroens, but we also found NSUs from Heilbronn and an Auto Union vehicle.

The whole thing probably belongs to a workshop for “classic cars”.

In addition to the Citroen buses, there are other models, including non-French ones.

Until 1956, it served as town hall and school. Remember that this barracks had been visited by King Ferdinand III.

The porch with wooden columns is a characteristic of the Napoleonic style, very rare in Northern Alsace.

Formerly, the building of the town hall formed one of the two barracks of Drusenheim. After the fall of Napoleon I, Drusenheim ceased to be a stronghold. The troops having been withdrawn, the two barracks were sold at auction in 1817, on condition that they be demolished. One of these buildings was purchased by Dalhunden who proceeded to rebuild it with some modifications. The date 1826 appears on the campanile.
