Borne Vauthier No. 27 is one of the commemorative markers created by sculptor Paul Moreau-Vauthier in the 1920s. These markers mark the front line as it was in July 1918, during the First World War. Marker No. 27 is located in Robecq, in the Hauts-de-France region, and is part of a group of monuments that stretches approximately 700 km from the North Sea to the Swiss border. Each marker is made of granite and topped with a military helmet placed on a laurel wreath, symbolizing the sacrifices of the soldiers. They are a lasting tribute to those who fought during the war.
