what a beautiful fortress with great views in all directions

There was a lot of excursion traffic on Sunday. We took the route from Philippsburg via Erbsenthal. That was quieter!

Incredibly beautiful, the view is splendid. I recommend it.

Very pleasant to walk around the pond, there is also a magnificent playground that has existed for many years. Something to have a great time!

As a signpost for the European model project “Star Trail” (Chemin des Etoiles) or the Way of St. James, there is a stone scallop shell in the property wall of the chapel and cemetery, on the right side of the entrance gate. "The late Gothic pilgrimage chapel [...] houses, in addition to the statue of Saint Ulrich from the first half of the 18th century, one of the oldest depictions of the Virgin Mary in the diocese of Speyer. The Madonna and Child (end of the 13th century/beginning of the 14th century) is a copy, the original is in Speyer. [...] The inscription on the northern archway (V - 1694 - W) probably refers to Pastor Valentin Wilhelmi, probably not the first builder, but the repairer."
