The Saint-Paul church is part of the Saint-Paul Center, which is an ecumenical center that hosts the services of the Anglican Church, the Baptist Protestant Church and the United Protestant Church. The construction of the Saint Paul Center began in 1978 and was completed in 1984. On April 16, 1984, the three bells (Isabelle, Claire, Marie-Emmanuelle) were blessed, while on April 19, Mayor Robert TRIMBACH handed over the keys to the church to Monsignor HERBULOT, Bishop of Corbeil. The Center also hosts Anglican and Baptist services. The Center was built by Mr. CORNET-VERNET, who was able to integrate the location of the church in the center of the village and the desire to make this place a poly-cultual and ecumenical building. He was also inspired by the traditional churches of Hurepoix, with their tall spires. Like the nearby Fauvettes viaduct, the Montjay tunnel once served as the old Paris-Chartres railway line. In the middle of the communal forest of Bures-sur-Yvette, it punctuates the straight and rolling line leading to the viaduct.
