A masterpiece of classical architecture by Jean Aubert, they have housed the Living Museum of the Horse, dedicated to equestrian art, since 1982. This site has been owned by the Institut de France since 1886.

It is the largest training center in Europe. Chantilly is known for the quality of its training facilities. The Manse pavilion, built in 1678 by the Prince of Condé, houses the machine for playing the big waters. From May to October The Pavilion is open from Tuesday to Sunday From November to April, the Pavilion is open Tuesday to Friday and the first weekend of the month. Closed on Monday, May 1, December 24 and 25 and January. Free visit from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (last entry at 5 p.m.) with or without reservation.
