Schlakewagen in the Rockgarden Trail

A nostalgic trip. The CFL is about to part ways with its 2000 series, also known as the Z2. No other CFL vehicle has logged as many kilometers: 4.2 million kilometers. This is five times the distance between the Earth and the Moon, round trip. The first Z2 entered service on July 26, 1990. For now, all 2000 series railcars are still in operation in the Grand Duchy, and passengers sink into the soft fabric cushions of the seats, red in first class and green in second class.

The wagon was probably used to dispose of slag. There is a pile of slag on the slope directly in front of it. If you look closely, you can see a whole lot more of it further down.

The only monument present along the entire hike. We remember it well because it is the only massive anthropogenic element that we can see!
