Pretty little lake in the heart of the small Jura mountains

This boundary stone marked the border between Franche-Comté (north) and French Bugey (south). To the east, the Pays de Gex was separated by the Sardinian Corridor, in which the Spanish Way was located.

Perfect covered campsite

There is a monument there commemorating the local resistance fighters, who used this meadow to parachute in equipment for the British secret services during the Second World War.

A typical Jura ridge trail: cliff on one side, forest on the other, sharp rocks and large roots peeking out, and constant steep sections (uphill and downhill). It's not the worst I've seen: aside from the steep sections, no section is technically impossible for an experienced mountain biker. The view of the Grand Crêt d'Eau, the Crêt de Chalam, and the Haut-Jura is also pretty good.

Very nice little walk! No particular difficulty for someone who is not sporty (haha) I would just advise against the last descent (at the end) to someone who would be afraid when it is slippery (lots of leaves and stones), in which case take the same passage as on the way there.

A stronghold of resistance and an ancient milestone on the Sardinian road that led to the Netherlands in the 17th century. A very beautiful view of the Jura Mountains, too.

Nice place. Too bad the forest was destroyed by large machines going up to cut down trees. This makes traveling by mountain bike very difficult. Nice place anyway.
