The trail leads from the junction with Baker Pass Trail past Parika Lake and up to Fairview Mountain Saddle. From here, enjoy spectacular views of the nature surrounding you. Elk Mountain Trail leads you to Elk Mountain at 7,700 feet. At 2 miles in length, this trail is short and climbs steadily and then steeply at the end for the summit push. From the top, you can enjoy fantastic views of the neighboring peaks and the lush Arapaho Forest surrounding you.

Elk Mountain is situated at 11,424 feet just northwest of Granby in Arapaho National Forest. The trail to the summit is less trafficked than others in the area and the views over the forest and neighboring summits from the top are worth it!
