Beautiful view of these special rock formations

Wonderful rock formation over boulders; summit with a small stone pyramid and a panoramic view of all the mountains visible from here. Ascent via various routes - basically accessible from all directions. If you're looking for solitude, you're in the wrong place here, but there aren't any crowds either. It's worth it!

Refuge with picnic tables and toilets nearby - good for a break

Providing backdoor access to the Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks trails, Chautauqua Park offers and area to access and view nature just at the foot of the city of Boulder. There is also a children's park and turf field.

The back-country view of the Indian Peaks / Continental Divide is divine.

This spot on the trail offers a great viewpoint of the Flatirons. The Flatiron climbing trails can be easily accessed by Chautauqua Park, but these scrambling routes take more planning to tackle than a standard hike.
