Only restaurant on the Zinal - Les Haudères stage on the Tour du Cervin. A big stage, what's more. And unfortunately the restaurant closed when we arrived because of the weather conditions (snow). We would have liked to eat or drink something hot. So I can't give an opinion on this place because it's closed. But this restaurant is in a strategic location and very pretty. Too bad it's closed when there were still lots of people.

It's a beautiful hike around the lake!

On the right side of the lake, you do not have to walk along the shore. There is a path about 300 meters above the lake, including a spring where you can fill up with water.

A trail that is also a mountain bike route. Beware of fast bikers who may appear on the descent around the corner, stay to the side when running.

Superb uncovered views of the valley and the 3000 to 4000 m peaks. The path is relatively smooth, there are larger rocks so be careful where you step. Very quiet, but perhaps a lot of hikers in the summer season.

The impressive Moiry dam, 148 meters high, dominates the rear part of the Moiry valley. When you drive along the 8 km long country road from Grimentz to the dam, you are first impressed by the visual appearance of this mass of concrete. But as soon as you reach the top of the wall, you discover a breathtaking panorama. In addition, a beautiful view of the valley and the main road. The winding road will lead towards the Corne de Sorebois (another hike nearby but allow several hours of climbing, best done separately or first thing in the morning).

The reservoir was completed in 1958. It has an arched wall with a length of 610 m and a height of 148 m. The volume of the barrier is 815,000 m3, the storage volume is 78 million m3 and the surface of the lake is 140 hectares. and a length of 2.4 km. Lac de Moiry is one of several artificial lakes in this region, providing hydroelectric power to the region. It is distinguished by its turquoise waters of glacial origin, enveloped in an emblematic and typically Swiss decor.
