you can also get here by cable car and then walk, from there in about 1.5 hours to Baita Arami and from there after the refreshment on foot in about 2 hours back to the valley to Gorduno, or maybe with the shuttle bus or other guests down to the valley

The difficile route is a lovely ridge climb but quite hard. There are 4 parts in total: Lower (fairly easy), Upper (medium ridge line), media (has a hard overhang KS3.5 C/D) & Difficult. Each part takes 30-45m and you can rest in-between, one of the most beautiful routes in CH.

Cima del Gaggio is located in the Italian part of Switzerland (Ticino / Ticino) and is usually just referred to as "Gaggio". The Gaggio is located at the southern tip of the western ridge of the Leventina Valley. Very nice hut with about 28 beds. Steep climb up to the hut, there are other touring options above. Surrounded by mountains and with a view down to Bellinzona. Lounge with a cozy little kitchen. The hut is also serviced in high season and sometimes on weekends.

The Sassariente, Gordola's local mountain, is a summit from where the highest and lowest point in Switzerland can be viewed simultaneously. A striking rock tooth at the entrance to the Verzasca Valley high above the Magadino Plain. Easily visible from the motorway ramp when driving from Lugano to Bellinzona. Only 1767 meters above sea level. But also 1500 meters above the valley floor and an «incomparable viewpoint», as the club guide Ticino Alps 2 of the Swiss Alpine Club notes!

The two-story stone hut was inaugurated in 1932 and renovated in 2005. It is located on the mountain range that separates the Gorduno and Sementina valleys. Wonderful view when the weather is right.
