The late Gothic basilica was built in 1481 by Simon Moycet on behalf of the Lorraine Duke René II and inaugurated in 1560. It houses a relic of St. Nicholas of Myra (a phalanx of the saint's blessing hand).

Footbridge reserved for bicycles and pedestrians which allows you to reach Varangéville by avoiding the large bridge. Very nice view of the Marne-Rhine canal and the basilica of Saint-Nicolas-du-Port.
