The Fronalpstock-Klingenstock high-altitude trail is suitable for low-cut hiking, but still offers considerable, sweaty elevation gain, consistently at over 1,700 meters, and is used by countless other hikers, "thanks" to the cable cars that serve both peaks. The views are always worth seeing, though. And anyone who ascends from Morschach will be rewarded with an almost deserted ascent. Of course, there are also restaurants, for example, on the Fronalpstock, where, despite the name, the work isn't for nothing.

The small chapel of Maria Hilf stands a little on the edge of the small village of Stoos, next to the valley station of the Fronalpstockbahn. The two Mythen can be seen in the background. This chapel is characterized by its unique architecture as it is made from a combination of traditional and modern materials. Its design is a mix of wooden trusses and zinc panels and its west-facing vantage point offers a wonderful panoramic view of the Swiss Alps. Inside the chapel, artworks by local artists are displayed.

The best view of the lake landscape is from the 1920 high Fronalpstock.

The Fronalpstock with its stunning view of Lake Lucerne, the surrounding peaks and far to the north is easy to reach with the Stoosbahn. If you want to experience even more of these fantastic panoramas, take the ridge hike to the Klingenstock. Almost every meter there are new views, sometimes on one side, sometimes on the other - or even on both sides. Despite the high volume on a public holiday like today, when in good weather it felt like half of Switzerland was up there, it is definitely recommended.

The Maria Hilf Chapel is located in the middle of the idyllic mountain village of Stoos. The small mountain chapel was consecrated in 1932 and services are still held there today. Many wedding couples say "I do" in the mountain chapel. In the evening it is beautifully illuminated.
