Summit without summit cross at 2331m. When climbing the southeast ridge (Alpine hiking trail "white-blue-white"), there are ladders, railings, many iron clamps, chains and many wire ropes on the mountain, so well secured if you are free from giddiness and can show sure-footedness.

Ascent from the north face (Col d’Ayerne => Lac Pourri => Alpe Lioson), exploring the ancient hiking trail that has not been maintained for 30 years. The solitude of this valley is wonderful- as far as you are prepared to some pathfinding above Alpe Lioson. Beware of two hyper-efficient shepherd dogs on alpe Lioson: they do their job and made me run faster than I could even think. Worth the adventure!

An idyllic spa and winter sports resort where you can stroll past numerous shops and find cozy restaurants and cafés to stop for a bite to eat. The town lies at an altitude of 1,300 meters and is a great starting point for beautiful hiking trails in the surrounding area.

Villars-sur-Ollon is a winter and summer resort in the Swiss canton of Vaud. The village lies at 1300 meters altitude, about 900 meters above the Rhone Valley. The Col de la Croix and the Col du Pillon are popular mountain passes, but you can only ski in the summer months due to snow. During the event "Coop Ride the Alps Vaudoises" the pass for the car traffic is partially blocked.
