Great hut with a wonderful panorama.

Wengen is located at an elevated position in the Lauterbrunnen Valley and is a popular destination in both summer and winter. Here you'll find numerous hotels and other accommodations, as well as shopping opportunities.

Schynigen Platte is the terminus of the historic cogwheel railway, which runs up here from Wilderswil. If you're not in a hurry, a visit to the Alpine Botanical Garden, which showcases 800 plant species, is worthwhile. Otherwise, you can restock your provisions at the restaurant and continue on.

It also has a bistro. However, I'm not impressed by the selection or the prices.

Small, idyllic hut with beautiful views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Authentic atmosphere, delicious food and helpful staff. The sanitary facilities are outside and there is an extra building with 14 beds.

Sensational views, especially of Lake Brienz, but also of Lake Thun, which is a little further away. The ridge hike along Lake Brienz is one of the most beautiful in all of Switzerland and simply a dream for hikers!
