The half-timbered house at Buschstraße 15, also known as the Zettler House, is one of the most beautiful and oldest preserved buildings in Schwerin's old town. Built in the 17th century, it continues to impress visitors with its artfully decorated half-timbered facade, carved beam ends, and traditional inscriptions. The house exemplifies the historical building style of that era and offers a vivid glimpse into Schwerin's former cityscape. For many decades, the Zettler woodturning workshop has been located in the building, its name inextricably linked to the house. The workshop carries on the local craft tradition, making the building a vibrant center of arts and crafts. Visitors can not only admire the exquisite woodwork but also experience the unique atmosphere of this historic house.

Start in the southeastern district of Neumühle and enjoy the peaceful lakeside walk, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The shoreline offers varied, mostly wooded and sometimes steep sections, especially on the northern shore in the Friedrichsthal Forest.

When the subtle lighting of the bridge structure reflects in the water of Ostdorfer Lake at dusk, its elegant curve comes into its own. In 2021, the new, impressive cycle bridge between the two peninsulas of Krösnitz and Dwang was officially inaugurated. The steel structure has a total length of 92 meters. The bridge completes the 1.2-kilometer-long new cycle path from southern Dwang to the Krösnitz peninsula. "The nature-oriented tourist cycle route runs on municipal land directly along the shores of Lake Ostorf and Lake Faulen. With unobstructed views of both lakes and the city skyline, it offers a strong attraction for cyclists and pedestrians.
