A lovely hike with a fair amount of climbing. Upon reaching the top, you climb the ridge to the summit. Magnificent view ♡ People with a fear of heights should avoid! This hike is not ideal for those with a dog or walking poles.

Unfortunately, the summit climb was difficult at the end of May due to the snow-covered Kaiseregg Pass. In spring, with persistent snow, it's only recommended for experienced and/or well-equipped hikers. Crampons and poles were a must for me!

Between the Cheval Blanche and the Hochmatt, this beautiful ridge path with the best panorama leads into the Bulle plain and into the Alps.

One of the oldest alpine pastures in the canton of Fribourg. There you will enjoy Fribourg specialties: ham, baked cheese slices, cheese fondue

The Salzmatt Hut, located in the picturesque Schwarzsee region, is a real insider tip for nature lovers and hikers. The hut is rustic and comfortably furnished, with an inviting atmosphere that immediately conveys a feeling of homely security. Wood-paneled walls, a crackling fireplace and simple but comfortable furniture contribute to the authentic mountain ambience. Here you can relax wonderfully after a strenuous hike and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.
