Very pretty waterfall just a stone's throw from Colmars. Very easy to access.

Beautiful place - beautiful ridges and great views.

Type of educational trail along a former irrigation canal (Waalweg) on the south-facing valley flank above the fortified town of Colmars-les-Alpes (on the former state border between Provence and Savoy)

A little before the waterfall, there are access points to the river where you can swim.

This village stands out more for its architecture (walls and very pretty houses) than for the hikes that start there. Indeed, apart from a few walks like the Cascade de la Lance (magnificent) or the long climb to the Allos lake, the hiking departures are rather to be found on the side of Allos or Foux d'Allos.

Lovely place to eat, drink or spend the night.

The refuge offers a single dish at lunchtime, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Moreover, its drinks menu is quite extensive and its blueberry tarts are delicious. The staff is very pleasant. Be careful, the refuge closes on September 15 and does not offer the possibility of taking refuge there in winter even without guarding…
