In our hiking guide, the hike was given as taking 4.5 hours. These are tours that we like and can manage well. However, this one took us almost seven hours, and that was without long breaks. Hike to Pozzi from the Col de Verde. Hike made on July 25. Climb to the super waterfall. Then crossing the river without using the suspension bridge, in too bad condition. Going down the path stops before the campsite we find ourselves stuck by pig pens. It is necessary to climb a barrier where the arrow indicates it (orange-pink outline) then then to go up towards the right and to cross another portal. We then find ourselves on a path that bypasses the enclosures and allows us to rejoin the route. End of the journey made by the road, pretty and not very busy.

The Ortola waterfalls can be enjoyed all year round. They have a spectacular flow in the spring, especially when the melting snow creates a major torrent of the river. In the summer, the flow is less spectacular, but swimming at the base of the falls is refreshing.

Apparently, the name pozzine was coined by botanist John Briquet in 1910 to designate bogs with deep pools. Pozzi is the Coriscan name of the well. This little corner of paradise deserves some time to enjoy it.
