Interesting. Planetarium Observatory. The climb from the Col du Tourmalet takes about 2 to 2.5 hours (only the last part under the Pic is a bit steep - 25 to 30%). It can also be reached by cable car from La Mongie.

The peak of Néouvielle is a superb summit which is located in the nature reserve of the same name. Culminating at 3,091 meters above sea level, it offers a series of breathtaking panoramas over the Pyrenees and the surrounding lakes. The last meters of the climb are on a scree, stay vigilant to stay on the path.

The Pic du Midi de Bigorre is a peak in the French Pyrenees culminating at 2,876 meters above sea level. Open all year round, its 600 square meter terrace offers an exceptional panorama of the Pyrenees chain. There is also an astronomical observatory, a television relay and a restaurant. The milestones reach the block niches installed at the head of the circus, below the Brecha de Chausenque. These catastrophic and desolate-looking places are the result of forceful glacial events and it is easy to imagine what the massif looked like when it was covered by great masses of living ice, when the mountain was baptized “old snow”. The path heads south and completes the ascent to the top. At the end of the season it is possible to find some residual snow before the final climb. The normal entrance to the summit follows a chimney channel on the south face that requires the use of hands but without ice it does not present any difficulty. The summit is small and steep but has great views.
