The climb to the Nackberg, which is about 350m high, is easily manageable from the Hilbringen side. The gradients are in the range of 5-7%, except in the Hilbringen-Seitert residential area and near the Fittener landfill (last bend), where it gets quite steep for a short stretch.

The Nackberg hill, with its Nackberg Cross, lies on the edge of the Merzig Basin and I reached it by car from Hilbringen, heading towards France. A short detour to the Nackberg Cross rewards visitors with a fantastic view of the Merzig Basin.
