Authentic Luxembourg train station, be mindful of safety at night

Luxembourg's train station is architecturally very stylish, but unfortunately, like many train stations in Europe, it's completely run-down. Bearded men stand around the station, either shouting or selling things. The security team, which unlike in Germany consists of tall, athletic young men, is very vigilant and even during police checks, three of them stand with the officers. Not the best place in Luxembourg.

The Pont du Grund is located in a privileged spot with excellent views of the entire lower town area 👍🏼

These impressive fortifications once served to protect the city and are an important part of Luxembourg's military history. The Bock Casemates were built into the cliffs and extend over several levels. They offer a fascinating glimpse into the architecture and defense strategies of that era.

Very beautiful viewpoint

The Alzette is 73 km long, rises in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department and flows into the Sauer. Along its course, it connects several important districts of Luxembourg City, such as Grund, Pfaffenthal, Pulvermühl and Hamm.
