Short ascent not difficult from the saddle. But make sure to start early in the morning. Mountain boots in spring and winter anyway because of the sometimes steep firn fields. Usually thermal clouds form quickly and then visibility is quickly gone. Beware of thunderstorms especially in summer and if you are planning a longer tightrope walk - e.g. over to Cima Forka Viola but this is a serious mountain hike!

The modern bivouac is not staffed, but has an open space with 4 bed boxes. No mattresses! So if you want or have to spend the night, you better have a sleeping pad and sleeping bag with you. I wouldn't risk it on weekends but during the week of May June or late in the year it's pretty g... nice up there.
