The Hemmkoppen Tunnel is a historic railway tunnel belonging to the former route 6683. It was built between 1893 and 1894 and opened on October 1, 1895. The tunnel is 181 meters long and runs through the slate mountains with a slight curve. Today, the tunnel is a popular destination for hikers and is part of Touringen Stamping Point No. 224. The crossing is particularly exciting because the tunnel is completely dark in the middle – a headlamp can be helpful here.
