I can only confirm all the comments before me. There is also a fish ladder at the weir. Very nice !!! On the other side you can see as far as the Kyffhäuser monument.

1200 years ago the moated castle Artern (“moated castle”) was built, presumably to secure the Unstrut ford. In their protection, a planned castle developed, which received city rights in 1329, the later "Neustadt" Artern. This hamlet already had a stone parish church dedicated to the Virgin Mary. From this church, which was built around 1200, only part of the tower has survived (the lower part of today's tower, the half-timbered upper floor was added later). Source: Wikipedia
