ドイツのルール谷地の市街地をまたいで、この地域の鉱業の残り物としてできた廃棄土山は、巨大な手で作られたかのように立ち上がっています。遠くからも見えるので、過去の数世紀にここで地面にあがってきた岩や土の量を想像することができます。今では、多くのこれらのサイトはマウンテンバイクの訓練場として役立っています。ヘルメット以外の保護具を必要とする難しいルートから、簡単なフロートレイルまで、好きなものを選べます。なお、これらの廃棄土山の一部が周囲の地域より100メートル以上高く立ち上がっているため、1日の運動で相当な高度のメートルを集めることができます。そうだ、夕方の時間帯に自転車を出かけると、特に楽しめます！
