In drizzle and fog we started today on the 20 km loop around Gudensberg. The hilltop around the Odenberg Tower was covered in ice fog, unfortunately nothing to see from the panoramic view. During the course of the day the weather cleared up at least a little, so that we were able to enjoy the only rays

Last weekend we saw the pictures of the snow-covered chunk. Quickly contacted "our" landlady and checked in. Unfortunately, the temperatures of the week almost completely destroyed the snow and turned it into ice.
Nonetheless, we were pretty much the first at the Torfhaus car park to visit Father Brocken

Today's tour was more difficult than first thought. On the one hand, the morning weather was not so motivating, on the other hand, some of the paths were dead ends, although this was not visible on the maps. Today it was a steep uphill ride on an off-road bus shuttle with a monkey tooth to the start at the Hinderburg hut in the Hemmersuppen-Alm hiking area. That alone was fun enough 😅
The hike itself was the premium hiking trail Alpin Gletscherblick and it lived up to its name.
