Part of the tour is on the cycling route Tour Brandenburg which is really nice. Goes through forests, has great asphalt (without many roots), goes through some nice villages.

Road there was great! Good quality asphalt, not many bumps, only a few places with cobblestones.

The hike from Grainau to the start of the Höllental gorge is going through the forest. It doesn’t start in a spectacular way, but half way through the two crests the view gets more beautiful.
