    Towards Vârful lui Stan from DN67D road

    Quick hike towards Vârful lui Stan with nice views towards Cerna valley and Retezat as well as towards the plains of Walachia. Trail is well-marked with a blue triangle. At a few sections, you will need to use your hands to climb. We turned around 15 minutes before the peak due to labile weather conditions.

    Oslea Românească peak from Cerna-Sat village

    Hike to Oslea Românească peak, completed in August 2025. The tour starts just outiside Cerna-Sat village, marked by a signpost. The given time is for the ascent only, round trip total time is about 5h. The path is partly marked with a red triangle. As of Aug 2025, forest works (clearing) had just been performed - we partly used the newly created forest roads, which were quite steep and had some loose soil on the surface. From Oslea Românească, you can continue to Godeanu peak (~1:30h).
