The path up to the Hinterwaldkopf is relatively short, but all the more crisp, with what feels like 90% unpaved paths from Höfen, and inclines that are actually always in the double-digit range. A nice tour for mountain goats, the journey through the Dreisamtal is a bit boring, but good to warm up.

The Patisserie Wach Benoit in Séléstat, the Kaiserstuhl and a chatty swarm of starlings on a power pole near Umkirch, which suddenly fell silent and was blown up. Da Oberried alle buche di ghiaccio, trovo la Zastlertal un po' noiosa, forse fin troppo familiare. Per questo motivo ho provato un'alternativa: da Oberried salgo su sentieri per lo più sterrati, di solito con pendenza a due cifre, fino alla Stollenbacher Hütte, poi una breve discesa nella Zastlertal
